I have to decide whether I am going to attend my graduation ceremony, and whether I want to include one or both of my middle names on my diploma. Opinions, please.

I enjoyed mine a lot, though I wasn't at the time someone who went in for ceremony or public acknowledgement.
As for your middle name(s), totally, unless you don't like them! If anything, picture your nephew looking at it and asking who all of those people are :)

Err cousin, sorry.

Okay, thank you. I will invite my cousin to the party and see what he says. My mom is really looking forward to celebrating and promises me champagne sorbet. I was a baby at her graduation and there are some really cute pictures of us together then, so we will need to do special photos again too.

I have just been through this exact same scenario last week. I have no desire to go to mine, however my mother insisted that it would make her happy to be at the event. Which sort of made me feel guilty. This probably doesn't help.

I would tend to the "nay" side myself, but The GIrl Least Likely may be right, and besides, this is a family thing and since I have become ill my family has been a crucial part of the support that has gotten me through my degree.
