Do it! You won't regret a single minute of the whole adventure.
You've travelled all over Europe, haven't you? What were your favourite cities?
My favourites were Budapest (because of the people, and the architecture of course); Berlin (because of the nightlife, and the copious amounts of really good yet oh-so-cheap restaurants); Copenhagen (everything); London (it was nice to be back in an english speaking country after 2 months, and it was fun).Just keeping it at a few places and staying in nicer accommodation is a much better plan.
Thank you for that. I was thinking I might have trouble getting away staying in youth hostels at my advanced age.
You will find that the more expensive and smaller hostels will have a more mature crowd. They're cheaper than most 3 star hotels. Are you going to be traveling alone?
Excellent! The thing I disliked about traveling with others was that I wasn't able to change my plans freely to go somewhere. The freedom is as comforting as it can be lonely at times, but I believe if one sticks it out that they'll be a better person at the end of it- you get to know yourself a bit better.
advanved age? ... ?I'm a hundred years older than you.... at least ..
