Sorry to hear it. That's the worst when you make a bunch of soup that turns out gross.

I've become much less experimental in my soup-making for that very reason. Don't worry, though, the dal recipe is tried and true so you can't go wrong there. It's best to make it one day and wait to start eating it until the next, but it's still good right out of the pot.
This is a novel approach. Usually I find the spice goes out of dal once it has sat in the fridge.
Not this one. Time treats it well.
